Wrexham star, Paul Mullin has made an admission about the fans and the club which is likely to please everyone associated with the Reds.

Since signing on a free transfer in 2021, Paul Mullin has become a hero at Wrexham due to his goal-scoring exploits.

Under the tutelage of Phil Parkinson, the former Cambridge United man has been nothing short of a revolution at The Racecourse.

With 85 goals in 110 appearances for the Reds, it is safe to say the Welshman is the star of the show.

An injury against Manchester United in pre-season, fans had been left worried as to how his season would be affected. In 10 League Two starts, he has four goals and an assist as the Reds sit in fourth place in their first season back.

With his appearances on ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ and at his book launch, he has opened up about how the club has affected his life for the better.

What has Paul Mullin said?

Opening up on the documentary and his excellent performances have made Mullin more than just a footballer to Wrexham fans.

In an interview with Leader Live, it is clear that the Welshman feels the same way about the Reds faithful.

Discussing the fans, he said: “I love playing football here. I go on the pitch and I do feel invincible at times, especially at home. It is a place that I love playing football, especially in front of the fans who love me. Hopefully, it continues for a long time.”

There have been plenty of new faces at The Racecourse in recent years but they have all taken the club to heart. None more so than Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney but Mullin has to be up there with the best of them.

On that, he said: “I have taken them to my heart as well. If I didn’t play for Wrexham anymore at any point, I would go to watch them every week. It has become my team.

“I am all-in at Wrexham and I have been since I signed, it has been phenomenal. I love this club and my family do, it has become our team.”

With him being one of the most well-loved players at The Racecourse it is great to hear things like this from stars. He has been in good form this season and long may the love story between himself and the club continue.
