Paul Mullin has sent a message after watching on from home as Wrexham saw off Port Vale.
Wrexham have booked their place in the next round of the EFL Trophy and will now face Bolton Wanderers in the quarter-finals next week.
Paul Mullin missed the fixture completely amid a shin injury that also ruled him out of the Crawley Town victory.
In his absence in midweek, Phil Parkinson opted for a front two of Modou Faal and Harry Ashfield.
Wrexham fans praised Faal on the night after he scored one and assisted one in what was probably his best display since his summer move.
Ashfield, Elliot Lee, and Andy Cannon were the other goalscorers as the Red Dragons beat Port Vale 4-1.

Paul Mullin predicts more from Harry Ashfield after Port Vale vs Wrexham
Following the match, a lot of players have come in for praise for their efforts in the cup competition.
Ryan Longman was excellent and now has three assists in three appearances for his new team despite only starting one match.
Though Longman was good, it was Ashfield who stole the show against Port Vale and has since been praised heavily.
The 18-year-old netted his first senior goal for the Welsh side and has earned the respect of many at the club.
James McClean sent a message to Ashfield late on Tuesday evening and now, Mullin has done the same.
Taking to his Instagram story on Wednesday, the striker quoted a video of the teenager’s strike while writing: “Hopefully the 1st of many. Congrats @harryash21”.

Phil Parkinson shares Harry Ashfield verdict
Speaking after his side booked their place in the last-eight, Parkinson gave his verdict on Ashfield and his performance.
The manager stated he was not surprised by his display, while also highlighting the ‘quality’ he has.
Parkinson said: “He was very good tonight. His all-round performance was very good, he kind of linked the play brilliantly in the first half and got his moment with the goal.
“I’m really pleased for Harry, he had a great pre-season with us in America and he trains really hard every day.
“That didn’t surprise us tonight, that’s not a performance we didn’t see coming because we know what quality he’s got and the lads are so pleased for him in there because he’s a humble young man, a credit to his family and what a moment for our academy tonight to see one of the young players play so well.”
