Wrexham are preparing for a tight and nervy encounter when they travel to fellow promotion chasers Huddersfield Town in League One.
Ahead of the game, Huddersfield manager Michael Duff has heaped praise on Jay Rodriguez and the former England international has been branded a ‘top player.’
Rodriguez is yet to really make his mark for Phil Parkinson’s side and may be replaced by Jack Marriott in the Wrexham predicted XI.
The last clash between the two sides ended in a 0-0 draw at the Racecourse Ground and with such high stakes in the League One promotion race, it may take a moment of magic to break any deadlock in the upcoming game.

Phil Parkinson highlighted Huddersfield concern following draw in 2024
Speaking post-match following Wrexham’s 0-0 draw with Huddersfield back in October 2024, Parkinson highlighted one area that cost his side the three points when reflecting on the clash.
Parkinson stated: “We dominated for periods but couldn’t quite get the moment. We got Elliot on the ball in some good positions and Andy and we moved the ball around well.”
The Red Dragons boss then revealed how a change of shape from Huddersfield caused his side problems in the second half of the match.
Parkinson explained: “They changed the shape and flattened out the midfield in the second half and credit to them for that because it became an even tighter game.”
Elliot Lee should start for Wrexham against Huddersfield
Creativity has been a real issue for both sides, Wrexham and Huddersfield both have a lack of goals in recent months and have looked blunt in attack.
Matty James and George Dobson struggle to play together and the midfield looked stifled for ideas during periods of the recent clash with Bolton Wanderers.

Having already enjoyed some success on the ball against Huddersfield earlier in the season and returning to fitness as a substitute in the previous fixture, Elliot Lee should be returning to the Wrexham midfield.
Lee would provide that extra bit of quality on the ball needed, alongside Dobson and the increasingly impressive Ollie Rathbone. This is the formula that Parkinson needs in order to grab three vital points.
