Wrexham have no time to rest on their laurels following a run of three games unbeaten in League One as they prepare to host Rotherham United.
Wrexham secured a 1-0 victory over Rotherham earlier on in the season and know that three points at the Racecourse Ground could see move into the automatic League One promotion places.
Paul Mullin mocked Steve Evans after the last encounter and scored the only goal of the game in the very first minute from a wonderful Ryan Barnett assist.
Ollie Rathbone is preparing to face his former club amid his sensational recent form but manager Phil Parkinson has already predicted a tough game for his side.

Phil Parkinson’s verdict on Rotherham following victory in October 2024
Parkinson was delighted with the victory over Rotherham earlier in the season and will be hoping to repeat the same again. He highlighted one aspect that his side can expect to deal with in the upcoming clash when speaking post match to the club’s official YouTube channel.
Parkinson stated: “It’s always going to be hard fought here. It’s always a physical encounter and you’ve got to be prepared to stand up to that and I thought we did that very well.”
The Red Dragons will need to win the physical battle once again and then it gives them the platform to assert their dominance on the ball.
Parkinson explained: “I felt we were in control without the ball, we were physical but were physically in control and we knew what we were doing out of possession and in possession we showed some real quality at times.”
Wrexham have shown solidity in defence in recent matches
Parkinson’s confidence that his side can repeat the victory will be high given the recent defensive displays from his side.
Eoghan O’Connell and Thomas O’Connor in particular were outstanding in the Wrexham player ratings against Huddersfield and asserted themselves both in the air and in ground duels.

Rotherham boss Evans will be sure to set his side up to impose themselves on the game and the Wrexham defence will need to prepare for an aerial bombardment.
However, recent performances have shown that they are more than capable of standing up to the task and provide such a solid foundation to then go on and claim the all important three points.
