Since the Hollywood takeover, Wrexham’s owners have been keen to support the club in the transfer market.

They have had a huge impact at Wrexham with many players keen to join the project. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been very active in supporting manager Phil Parkinson in strengthening his squad.

This summer, the club have already been active with the arrivals of Arthur Okonkwo, Lewis Brunt and former Charlton Athletic captain George Dobson.

It is an exciting time at Wrexham with the club’s trajectory an ambitious journey. Players want to join the club and the owners play a part in that project.

In a recent interview with Rio Ferdinand, Reynolds talked about his approach to looking after players at Wrexham.

But now, Parkinson has revealed how involved the owners are at the club in the transfer windows.

Reynolds and McElhenney actively involved in Wrexham transfers

The Wrexham boss has revealed that both Reynolds and McElhenny are keen to be involved in potential arrivals at the Racecourse.

The owners are not making football decisions, but are keen to help in speaking to the new arrivals.

Speaking to the BBC, Parkinson said: “It’s great that Ryan and Rob are the owners of the club, so it’s important that when someone signs they get a welcome from Rob and Ryan.

“They’re great at that, they’re very engaged, whenever we’ve signed a player or when we sign a player they want to be involved in terms of us explaining why we’re signing the player, and what qualities that particular player brings to the club.

“Of course, yeah, they want to make them feel welcome because there’s a togetherness about us here at Wrexham and it’s something that we want to continue with.”

Reynolds and McElhenney offer unique Wrexham transfer pull

The famous reputation of the owners is not a gimmick at the club. They are fully invested in improving and progressing the football club.

Wrexham is one of the oldest football clubs in the world and was a sleeping giant before the Hollywood owners arrived in North Wales.

The club’s 159-year history with a close-knit community is at the core of the owners’ decision-making.

Since the takeover, many big-name EFL players have joined the project convinced it is the right place for their career.

The owners offer a unique opportunity with their global reach and varied experiences.

Both Hollywood stars have been able to develop Wrexham’s off-pitch status providing strong media platforms for potential arrivals.

However, the ability to inspire targets with the traditions of the club and its potential for growth is the real unique project that the Red Dragons can offer new signings.
