Wrexham will want their star striker Paul Mullin back fit as soon as possible.
The Red Dragons secured promotion from League Two in the 2023/24 season, earning a second-place finish.
A key figure in their promotion triumph was Paul Mullin, who moved to the Racecourse Ground in 2021 from Cambridge United.
Mullin was one of Wrexham’s standout stars last time out, scoring 24 goals and providing six assists in the league – only Macaulay Langstaff of Notts County (28) found the net on more occasions.
However, Phil Parkinson’s side are set to go into the upcoming campaign without the services of the 29-year-old.
Several Wrexham stars could step up in Mullin’s absence, while the Welsh outfit have also been looking at new centre-forwards in the summer transfer market.
Wrexham are the front-runners for Sheffield Wednesday’s Bailey Cadamarteri with a potential loan switch on the cards.
Parkinson also launched an enquiry for Will Lankshear after Tottenham Hotspur made the striker available for loan last month.

Phil Parkinson provides Paul Mullin injury update
Regardless of whether or not Wrexham signs another striker this summer, they will no doubt be keen to have Mullin back as quickly as possible.
The Welsh side kick off their 2024/25 League One season on Saturday, August 10th, against Wycombe Wanders.
Mullin has undergone surgery this summer and will miss that meeting next weekend.
Now though, Parkinson has provided a timeframe for the centre-forward’s return, confirming he will be back on the grass on August 8th, as per BBC Sport.
He said: “Paul is progressing well and he’ll be back out on the grass by Thursday next week [8 August], which is fantastic for us.
“He’s a naturally fit lad and I don’t think it will be long to get back and start knocking on the door saying he’s ready.
“I’ve talked to him and the operation has done its trick and feels so much better, and so it was the right decision to go ahead with it.
“Touch wood, if there’s no problems with it I envisage he’ll be back sooner rather than later.”

Who will Wrexham start instead of Paul Mullin
Wrexham may sign another striker before deadline day, but a new addition is unlikely to be brought in with enough time to start against Wycombe.
As a result, Parkinson will have a big decision to make regarding who he will play up front against The Blues next week.
James McClean has been used out of position as a centre-forward in pre-season recently.
Ollie Palmer partnered the Irishman up top versus Chelsea but he lacks the goalscoring ability of Mullin.
Palmer scored eight times for Wrexham in 2023/24, a tally not good enough to be a regular in League One.
An ageing Steven Fletcher could also be an option but like Palmer, he scored just eight last term.
As a result, it looks as though Wrexham will have to make do with a weaker attacking threat for at least their first game in England’s third tier.
