The battle for League One promotion is heating up, with Wrexham taking on Exeter City in their latest outing.
Wycombe Wanderers faced Lincoln City at the same time the Red Dragons kicked off on March 29.
Wrexham needed a victory to ensure they maintained their temporary three-point lead over Mike Dodds’ side.
However, Phil Parkinson will have been well aware that Exeter City are no pushover and have been in top form of late.
But now we are firmly in the business end of the season, this is normally when Wrexham begin to shine.
They have beaten two of the top teams in League One recently and another victory was expected on Saturday.

What Wrexham had to change vs Exeter City
When all was said and done, Wrexham beat Exeter City 2-0, while Wycombe secured a 1-0 win in their fixture.
Ollie Rathbone’s deflected effort opened the scoring for Parkinson’s men before Jay Rodriguez made it 2-0 from the spot shortly after.
Wrexham fans were shocked by Rodriguez on the day, with the previously goal-shy striker now having two in two.
Following the clash, Parkinson has revealed that his team needed to change their mindset, while also working on defending set pieces as that is a big strength on Exeter’s.
He said, as per BBC Sport: “I’m really pleased to follow up last week, we needed to switch our mindset on to a different type of win.
“We understood what Exeter are – on a good run, very strong at set plays – and we’d worked on that, but we defended those situations very well, which gave us a platform to win the game.
“We got the first goal with a good move even if it was deflected, and it was great to get the cushion of the second goal to kill it off like we’re capable of.”
