Wrexham are on the verge of signing goalkeeper Danny Ward, which may lead to some questions about Arthur Okonkwo.
Wrexham snapped up Ryan Hardie in June but have yet to add more signings on top of the Scottish forward.
Phil Parkinson is hunting new signings, and one mystery deal could be in the pipeline.
Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds are trying to persuade a target to sign for Wrexham despite interest from other clubs.
One deal appears to be close, with Danny Ward undergoing a medical at Wrexham on Monday.
Ward has been released by Leicester City and is now nearing a return to Wrexham, more than a decade since leaving the club.

Danny Ward deal raises Arthur Okonkwo question
Wrexham kicked off talks to sign Ward earlier in June and now appear ready to strike a deal.
We were initially surprised when Wrexham moved for Ward, as many expected him to chase first-team football after leaving Leicester.
Wrexham already have a settled first-choice goalkeeper in Arthur Okonkwo, and even backup goalkeeper Callum Burton showed quality last season.
Parkinson is pressing ahead with a deal for Ward, though, with the Wales international expected to serve as second-choice behind Okonkwo.
Signing a recent Premier League goalkeeper as backup is an interesting move and may bring up questions about Okonkwo’s international future.
Okonkwo was born in England to Nigerian parents, meaning he qualifies for both countries.
An England youth international during his Arsenal days, Okonkwo has been targeted by Nigeria over the last year.
The 23-year-old may really back himself to become Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper, and the Africa Cup of Nations is looming.
If Okonkwo commits to play for Nigeria, he would miss a chunk of Wrexham’s Championship campaign.
Parkinson may feel that he needs a second-choice stopper like Ward to push Okonkwo through the campaign before stepping in during the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ward’s move raised a few eyebrows for us, but perhaps Parkinson is just preparing for the possibility of losing his first-choice goalkeeper midway through the season.
How long Arthur Okonkwo would miss if he committed to Nigeria
Nigeria’s first game in Group C of the Africa Cup of Nations comes against Tanzania, falling on 23 December.
Tunisia are next up on 27 December, before Nigeria’s group stage finishes on 30 December against Uganda.
Nigeria will be the favourites to win the group, with the knockout stages beginning on 3 January.
The final takes place on 18 January, meaning Okonkwo would miss around a month with factoring in pre-tournament training camps.
That would be a real blow for Wrexham, especially given the busy festive period in the Championship schedule.
Okonkwo may not have even made up his mind yet, but Parkinson snapping up Ward will just provide extra cover in case the Wrexham stopper jets off with Nigeria.
