A former Wrexham player has linked back up with ex-goalkeeper Ben Foster.

Ben Foster played a crucial role in the Red Dragons’ promotion out of the National League.

He then retired early in the 2023/24 season but has continued to maintain close ties with Wrexham.

Foster travelled to Australia for their pre-season tour this summer alongside another ex-star, Ben Tozer.

Now, the former Watford and Manchester United man has started working alongside another player who has previously honed his craft at the Racecourse Ground.

Ben Foster working with Anthony Forde and current Wrexham star

Anthony Forde left Wrexham in the 2025 winter transfer window, with both parties agreeing to terminate his deal so he could find a new club.

Away from the pitch, Forde and current Dragons ace Elliot Lee have launched their own football academy.

The duo announced the Lee Forde Academy in June, and Ben Foster has now joined them.

FozCast – the keeper’s podcast – is now the official sponsor of the academy’s shirts, as they confirmed in a statement.

It read: “We’re proud to announce that FOZCAST is the official kit sponsor for the Lee Forde Academy.

“Massive thanks to @benfosters and @thefozcastpodcast team for backing the next generation of talent. Your support means the world!

“And thank you to @findyourforza for bringing the kit to life. Here’s to developing players with passion, purpose, and pride.”

Foster responded to the announcement in the comment section, writing: “Up The Fozcast! Great work lads.”

How Anthony Forde has fared since Wrexham exit

Rob Mac sent a message to Forde after it was confirmed in February that he was joining League One side Burton Albion.

The 31-year-old made 11 appearances for the Brewers in the second half of the 2024/25 season.

Forde’s contract with Burton ended on June 30, and he has been a free agent since.

He was previously part of the PFA’s squad during pre-season but did not feature in their latest 42-man side that is in action twice this week.
