Wrexham secured a 3-1 victory over Grimsby Town on Saturday afternoon to strengthen their automatic promotion hopes.
Two brilliant Andy Cannon strikes and a wonderful Paul Mullin volley secured all three points for the Reds.
Cannon and Mullin produced three splendid moments of quality to secure three points for Phil Parkinson‘s men, however, it was a goal scored by Wrexham Women that did the rounds on social media.
It was a special moment for the women’s side as they played against rivals Swansea at the STōK Cae Ras, a much bigger venue than their usual home of The Rock in Rhosymedre.

Having announced a US tour for the women’s team, Reynolds was buzzing with excitement ahead of Sunday’s game with Swansea.

In front of a crowd of 2000, Wrexham went ahead in the contest thanks to a stunning goal scored by Jones.
Spotting Swansea goalkeeper Chelsea Herbert off her line, the youngster used her initiative to lob the ball perfectly into the back of the net.
The 18-year-old is a lifelong Wrexham fan, so scoring such an incredible goal in front of a bumper crowd would surely go down as the greatest moment of her career to date.
As Reynolds took to Twitter after the match to label the goal as one of his favourites at the STōK Cae Ras, McElhenney has now claimed he’s watched the moment over 40 times.
In a weekend where Cannon fired in a Goal of the Season contender, McElhenney sharing his appreciation for Jones’ perfectly executed chip just demonstrates how special that goal was.
Not many owners in modern football share such passion and enthusiasm towards the women’s team, but the fact that the Hollywood superstars do is so refreshing to see.
