Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac continue to expand their portfolio, with a business further expanding outside the UK.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac dipped their toes into the football world back in February 2021 when they bought Wrexham AFC.
The North American duo paid just £2m for the football club, with Wrexham’s latest valuation now coming in at £350m.
Away from the Red Dragons, the actors have been busy expanding their empire.
A Welcome to Wrexham spin-off will air this summer, documenting Necaxa, whom Rob and Ryan became investors in last year.
Meanwhile, another business owned by the duo has continued its global expansion this week.

Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham business expands
It was announced in October 2024 that Reynolds and Mac had become the new co-owners of Wrexham Lager.
It is the oldest lager brewery still existing in Great Britain after being established in 1882 and has come under new management in the last year.
On investing in the company, Rob and Ryan said: “As Co-chairmen of Wrexham AFC we have learned a lot. The connection between club and community, the intricacies of the offsides rule and the occasional need for beer – especially after finance meetings. Wrexham Lager has a 140-year-old recipe and a storied history and we’re excited to help write its next chapter.”
“This is a brand with great heritage – the oldest lager brewery in Great Britain, once enjoyed across the world.
“So, to have Rob and Ryan onboard as we embark on international expansion is huge for us. They have been doing wonders for the town of Wrexham and strongly share our passion for once again seeing Wrexham Lager enjoyed in all the far-flung corners of the globe.”
Now, it’s been confirmed this week that Wrexham Lager has expanded into Canada after establishing new partnerships with British Columbia Liquor Store and Liquor Control Board of Ontario.
Interim CEO Jon Roberts said, as per Wrexham.com: “Expanding into Canada is a proud moment for the brand.
“With our products now available in Ontario and British Columbia, Canadian customers now get to experience a taste of our premium lager.
“It’s another milestone for the team and our global success demonstrates the appetite for genuine and authentic lager.”

As well as Canada, Wrexham Lager is already sold in the United States.
