Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are looking to sell a stake in Wrexham, with a Championship rival now looking to follow in their footsteps.
After previous investment from the Allyn family, it emerged in June that Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds are eyeing fresh investment.
The Wrexham owners are ready to sell a stake in the club, with a valuation of £350m mooted at the time.
That is a major increase on the £100m valuation the Red Dragons were given earlier in 2025.
Saudi investment in Wrexham has since been mooted, with the owners eyeing more capital to help the club compete in the Championship.
Now, another club in the second tier of English football are hatching a similar plan to the North American duo.

Wrexham Championship rivals eye £350m takeover
Wrexham will play in the Championship for the first time ever next month.
Their opening game of the season will see them face off with recently relegated Southampton.
Along with the Saints, Ipswich Town were also relegated from the Premier League last term.
And now, Adam Williams, for EFL Analysis, has reported that the Tractor Boys’ current owners are eyeing a takeover, or part-takeover, of the club.
Ipswich’s owners are thought to be inviting proposals with a valuation of £350m-£375m mooted.
They took home £37.3m in the last reported financial year, which was among the highest in the Championship outside of clubs receiving parachute payments.

Billionaire could take over Wrexham Championship rivals
Ipswich, and potentially Wrexham, are not the only teams that could receive fresh investment this summer, however.
Turki Al-Sheikh has been linked with a Bristol City takeover after previous interest in Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall.
Al-Sheikh’s net worth is believed to be over £2billion, while McElhenney and Reynolds’ net worth is around $400m.
Away from the second tier, Gareth Bale wants to buy Cardiff City alongside a consortium following their relegation to League One.
