Wrexham have been told they can secure a top-six Championship finish by doing one thing this season.
At present, nobody is really expecting the Dragons to mount any sort of promotion challenge in 2025/26.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac want Wrexham to reach the Premier League by the end of the 2026/27 season.
Opta’s supercomputer has Wrexham finishing 21st in the Championship, seemingly meaning they will be in a relegation battle.
One pundit has suggested that an 18th-place finish for the Red Dragons is likely in the coming campaign.
But another has now made a bold claim about Wrexham reaching the play-offs in 2025/26.

How Wrexham can reach Championship play-offs
Wrexham are underdogs for their opening day fixture against Southampton.
The Saints are one of many top sides in the division with a much higher quality of player, and they are also receiving parachute payments.
However, Luke Chambers has now said that Wrexham can compete at the top end and reach the play-offs on one condition.
Speaking on the Essential EFL podcast, he stated: “I know everyone can’t finish in the play-offs. But I think they’ve got a real opportunity to do that again if they continue to sign the players that Hinchey mentions in Kieffer Moore, Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich Town.
“Players that have done it at this level consistently, I think, is what the key is.
“They’re not just bringing in players that have had one good season, they’re bringing in players that really know the level that are still in real great shape and condition, and hungry to achieve more.”

Wrexham play-off record
Wrexham reaching the top six in the Championship in their debut campaign would be a remarkable achievement.
However, fans will be well aware that their club really struggles when it comes to competing in that format.
Under Reynolds and Mac, Wrexham lost in the National League play-offs during their first full season as owners.
Prior to that, the Red Dragons had competed in the play-offs on five occasions and lost each time.
