Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have taken Wrexham to staggering new heights since their takeover in 2021.
When Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased the club from the Supporters Trust, it had endured decades of harshship.
Previously poor ownership and a dire financial situation had seen Wrexham fall down to the National League and remain there for over a decade.
However, since the North Americans took over, the Welsh outfit have been completely transformed on and off the field.
Wrexham eventually won promotion out of the fifth tier in 2022/23 and could still be in with a chance of securing promotion to the Championship for the forthcoming campaign.
It’s not just on the pitch where the small town in Wales has seen major change in recent years, however.

Rob and Ryan have grown the club’s audience massively due to their profiles and the global success of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ documentary on Disney+.
The Red Dragons have acquired a global fanbase as a result and have seen contunless A-list celebrities visit the Racecourse Ground, including Channing Tatum watching Wrexham face Cambridge United earlier this season.
More recently, players shot a Super Bowl advert with Tatum and a subtle nod to the club has now been spotted in the new Black Mirror trailer.
Netflix released the official trailer for the series on X/Twitter on March 13th, and eagle-eyed fans will have spotted a nod to Wrexham, as shown in the screenshot below:

It’s crazy to think that just two years ago, Wrexham were still plying their trade in the National League for the 15th season in a row.
Their transformation under Rob and Ryan has been nothing short of remarkable, and the actors have done an amazing job of raising the club’s profile.
