Wrexham goalkeeper, Mark Howard has announced this week that he has graduated from Staffordshire University with a Professional Sports Writing And Broadcasting degree. Those associated with the Reds have been reacting to the achievement.

As was discussed in ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘, Mark Howard has announced that he has received a first-class degree..

The goalkeeper signed for Wrexham in July 2022 and played a part as promotion to the EFL was secured. Prior to the signing of Ben Foster, the former Bolton man was the number-one choice for Phil Parkinson. Despite only signing a one-year deal, on promotion, his stay was extended.

With Arthur Okonkwo receiving plenty of praise as number one and Luke McNicholas getting cup game time recently, Howard is now the third choice.

What has been said to Mark Howard?

The goalkeeper’s interest in sports media has been there for all to see for the past year. The Yours Mine Away Podcast is hosted by the Wrexham man and has been going well for a year now.

He has already had some big stars like David Raya, Aaron Ramsdale and David Seaman on his podcast. A start in the media world is going well.

This week, Howard posted a picture of himself graduating to his Instagram page, which has seen celebratory comments flood in.

One of the first comments to come in was from Ben Tozer. The Englishman jokily replied: ‘Congratulations mate. The oldest person to have ever graduated?’ From the documentary, it is clear Howard likes the banter and this will resonate well with fans.

More love came flowing in with Ryan Reynolds and Humphrey Ker both offering their congratulations to the keeper. Adding to this were many past and present Wrexham stars with Jacob Mendy, Ryan Barnett and Ben Foster praising the Englishman.

It is great to see Howard picking up his degree. It looks as if he is taking the next step into the football media world.
