Ryan Reynolds reacted to an insane bicycle kick goal Ben Foster scored on his YouTube channel with fellow goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Ben Foster has become something of a cult hero at Wrexham. The former Manchester United goalkeeper signed for the Red Dragons for the last eight games of last season, and was pivotal in securing their promotion back to the Football League.

Foster’s injury time penalty save against rival Notts County to see out a vital 3-2 win was one of the many highlights of last season.

The 40-year-old hung up his gloves in May 2022 following Watford‘s relegation from the Premier League, but there’s now hopes he’ll stay with Wrexham for another year.

Ben Foster scores ridiculous overhead kick in YouTube channel

Foster is of course also known as The Cycling GK, the name of his popular YouTube channel. On a recent video, former England goalkeeper Joe Hart was invited to take part in a series of attacking challenges.

Both goalkeepers proved pretty tidy in front of goal, hitting shots from outside of the box. Towards the end of the challenge, both men attempts wild overhead kicks, and one of Foster’s ridiculous attempts, which flew into the top corner, has gone viral.

Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds caught wind of the footage and responded by saying “Is it possible to have two new signings out of one person?”.

It is not known whether Foster will return for Wrexham next season, but the club has confirmed they will hold talks with him “to establish if his intention is to return to retirement or continue playing.”

“We won the league and did what we needed to do. I did what I needed to do anyway,” Foster recently said on his YouTube channel.

“This is a special club. Am I going to do another year? Oh my god I do not know. I’m genuinely going to have to think about this, it’s as simple as that. I’ve never felt this much love or welcomed as much as I have here at Wrexham. I’ve really enjoyed my eight games, we’ll see as simple as that.”

On the evidence of his latest finish, he might be worth a go up front.
