Ryan Reynolds may now be on the verge of investing in another football club as Wrexham continue to go from strength to strength.
The final weeks of 2024 are upon us and Wrexham can reflect on another positive year under Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
Wrexham achieved promotion from League Two back in April, making it back-to-back promotions under Phil Parkinson.
League One was always going to be a test for Wrexham but the early signs are positive.
Nearly halfway through the season, Wrexham sit third in the League One table and are certainly in the promotion mix.
Ryan Reynolds wanted another promotion this season and Wrexham may well oblige as Parkinson and co go from strength to strength.

Ryan Reynolds close to another football investment
The last few years have been a whirlwind for Wrexham fans.
Hollywood ownership was the last thing on the minds of Wrexham fans just five years ago.
McElhenney and Reynolds then paid £2million for Wrexham, completing a quite remarkable takeover and changing the club’s fortunes almost overnight.
Wrexham are now one of the most talked about clubs in the game and Reynolds appears ready to add another club to his portfolio.
El Tiempo in Colombia report that Reynolds is part of the consortium on the verge of purchasing Colombian side La Equidad.
It’s stated that Reynolds will team up with Eva Longoria and the Tylis-Porter group and take over La Equidad.
A source close to the deal told El Tiempo that the official signing of the paperwork is this Thursday with the deal on the verge of completion.
It’s unclear just how much Reynolds is investing as part of this takeover but the total deal is allegedly worth just shy of $20million.
Who are La Equidad?
La Equidad are based in the Colombian capital city of Bogota and they currently play in the top flight of Colombian football.
Founded in 1982, La Equidad were created by Seguros La Equidad, an investment and financial services company in Colombia.
That is why their nickname is Aseguradores – ‘Insurers’.
La Equidad won promotion to the top flight in 2006 and then won the Copa Colombia in 2008 as their rise continued.
Their home stadium, the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo, is shared between La Equidad, Fortaleza C.E.I.F., Tigres F.C. and Bogota F.C.
After an 11th-placed finish in 2023, La Equidad qualified for the 2024 playoffs but lost all six games in their group.
Whether a La Equidad version of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ is on the horizon remains to be seen but this is set to be Reynolds’ latest move after investing in Necaxa back in April.
