Wrexham have seen many celebrity guests grace the Racecourse Ground since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney became co-owners.

Wrexham were bought by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2021, and the duo have since brought some Hollywood flavour to the club.

Paul Mullin was in Deadpool 3 alongside his team’s current owner, while so many A-list names have visited Wrexham in recent years.

One of those was Channing Tatum, who also starred in a Wrexham Super Bowl advert earlier in 2024/25 after flying over to Wales.

Tatum and Reynolds watched a Wrexham game live this past season, and that match has now been documented in the latest episode of Welcome to Wrexham.

What Ryan Reynolds told Channing Tatum about Steven Fletcher

Wrexham faced off with Cambridge United in a League One fixture on December 14, 2024.

The Red Dragons came from 1-0 down to go 2-1 up before eventually being forced to settle for a 2-2 draw.

As was a common theme across the season, Steven Fletcher came off the bench in that match and scored, putting his team in the lead at the time.

Now, Season 4 Episode 4 of Welcome to Wrexham has revealed what Reynolds told Tatum when Fletcher was coming on in that fixture.

Ryan turned to Tatum and said: “He’s a beast, he’s like, I don’t know, 36 or so. He’ll like throw up a bicycle kick in the air.”

The actor then responded to Reynolds’ comments, saying: “I ——- love it.”

Steven Fletcher is leaving Wrexham ‘not by choice’

Despite primarily being used from the bench across 2024/25, the Scotsman was the club’s top-scoring striker in the latest season.

However, now 38, Fletcher is leaving Wrexham when his contract expires on June 30, 2025.

In his parting message, the former Sunderland ace revealed that he is leaving the club ‘not by choice’.

He wrote: “It’s with a heavy heart, and not by choice, that I unfortunately have to announce my departure from what I can only describe as the most magical club I have ever played at!

“In my 22 years of stepping onto a pitch, I have never experienced anything like this club. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to come here and fall back in love with the game! To have had the experiences and the opportunities that this club has given me has been just incredible. And this group of lads are the best that I have ever shared a changing room with.”

“It’s not just a team or a changing room. This group of boys, fans and staff have been my family for the past two years.

“You welcomed me with open arms and open hearts and made me feel like I had a purpose again.

“To my teammates – you are family! I have never experienced a dressing room like it in my career, and I can’t believe I don’t get to walk in there every day next season.”

“To the staff – thank you for your time, your dedication, and your faith in me.”

“And to the fans – thank you for taking a risk on an old Scottish man and making him feel like this was his home the memories will last forever!

“Wrexham as a club and a town and as people, will have a place in my heart that will never be replaced !!

“And to @robmcelhenney@vancityreynolds – Thank you! For the opportunity, the support, the joy that being a part of this club has brought me!”
