Wrexham have continued their summer spending with 21-year-old Sebastian Revan arriving in North Wales.

Many new faces are starting to arrive at Wrexham, with the club confirming another two transfers in goalkeeper Callum Burton and left-back Sebastian Revan the latest to join Phil Parkinson’s side.

Revan is a promising young player who was part of Aston Villa’s under-21 squad that was victorious in the 2020-21 Youth Cup.

The latest signing has had several loans away from the Premier League club but has now committed his future to the Racecourse.

The five-foot-eleven defender impressed on loan last season in the Championship with Rotherham United. The 21-year-old featured 36 times gaining vital experience.

The former Grimsby Town loanee will compete against James McClean and Jacob Mendy to be the first choice for the left wing-back role.

Heading into the Wrex-coast Tour, new signing Revan has revealed his aims after completing his move to the Racecourse.

Sebastian Revan wants to make his mark at Wrexham on the Wrex-Coast Tour

Coming into the summer window Parkinson was keen to add strength in depth to his squad.

The latest signing in Revan provides strong competition and is keen to show his quality.

After success in the club’s first pre-season game with a 5-1 win against Hanley Town, the former Sunderland boss will be hoping his players continue to push their preparations in the coming over-seas tour.

After completing his move, speaking on the club’s website, Revan said: “I’m delighted to get the deal done. I can’t wait to get started and show everyone what I can do.

“It’s going to be a great going to the USA and Canada. I’ll hopefully get some minutes and the opportunity to impress and get my season started.

“I want to help take the club as high up the table as we can and add both goals and assists to my game and also the team.”

Sebastian Revan to solve Jacob Mendy injury issue

In recent months, Mendy has struggled to stay consistent, with various injuries hampering his form.
The club needed to improve the options at wing-back this summer with veteran McClean featuring heavily there last campaign.

The new signing will bring a strong and energetic performance level, with the 21-year-old keen to defend but also beat a man and help out in the attacking third.

Wrexham fans will likely get to see the new signing in action on the ‘Wrex-Coast Tour’ with the club set to jet off to the United States and Canada. The tour is a great opportunity for all the new signings to claim their spot in the team and impress the manager.

The wing-back is a perfect fit for Parkinson’s style of play and will be hoping he can claim a first-team spot in the coming League One campaign.

With Mendy’s injury issues and McClean being 35 years old, the former Rotherham loanee could turn out to be the shrewd business for the present but also provide a long-term plan for the squad.
