Wrexham are now looking to secure their first-ever Championship win this weekend when they take on West Brom.
The Red Dragons earned their first victory of the season on Tuesday when they came from behind to beat Hull City on penalties in the Carabao Cup.
The Welsh outfit return to action on Saturday, facing West Brom in their first Championship home game of the season.
Wrexham lost to Southampton on the opening weekend of the campaign following two late goals from the Saints.
But their chances of securing a first Championship victory this season have improved a lot this week.

Wrexham vs West Brom prediction
Wrexham had not played in the second tier since the 1980s before this month and have never won a game in the rebranded Championship.
Last week, Opta’s supercomputer gave Phil Parkinson’s side the second-lowest chance of winning in their league game out of all 24 teams in the division.
Only Sheffield Wednesday, who have not signed a single player and lost a lot of their key stars this summer, had a marginally lower chance of winning their game (17.4 percent vs Wrexham’s 17.5 percent).
Opta’s prediction for gameweek two of the 2025/26 Championship campaign, however, is much more positive.
Wrexham have been handed a 33.9 percent chance of earning three points against the Baggies, though the away outfit are still favourites with a 40.4 percent chance of success. However, it’s still a major increase on the Southampton prediction.

Wrexham Championship league position predicted
While they have an increased chance of beating West Brom, Opta haven’t been too kind when it comes to predicting Wrexham’s Championship finish.
Before the season began, the Welsh side were expected to finish 21st, just one place above the relegation zone.
But at present, Opta are tipping Wrexham for relegation in 22nd place.
Watford and Oxford United are expected to finish below them.
