Wrexham have got their 2024/25 League One season off to an excellent start, with several players impressing.
The Red Dragons were expected to struggle after making the step up to League One.
Teams dropping down from the Championship and the more established third-division sides have quality players and are able to spend big money, as we saw with Birmingham City.
And while Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have backed Wrexham well over the years, another promotion push this time around did seem unlikely.
However, after four games of the 2024/25 campaign, Phil Parkinson has been able to guide the Welsh outfit into second place, only behind first via goal difference.
Wrexham beat Wycombe Wanderers on the opening weekend and have drawn one and won two of their following three fixtures.
But which of the newly-promoted team’s players have shone and which have struggled? We have taken a look at the two highest-rated and two lowest-rated Wrexham players in 2024/25 so far.

Elliot Lee and Max Cleworth are the highest-rated Wrexham players this season
George Dobson has been sublime for Wrexham since his free transfer from Charlton Athletic over the summer.
However, the midfielder is not one of the club’s highest-rated players in the current campaign.
Elliot Lee, who has scored one, assisted one, and been named in the Team of the Week, is currently the highest-rated Wrexham player on Sofascore with a rating of 7.48.
Lee was one of the club’s best players in 2023/24, finishing as their second-top goalscorer behind Paul Mullin and that form has continued into the current campaign.
Behind the midfielder, centre-back Max Clewoth is the Red Dragons’ second-highest-rated player this term.
The stopper has a Sofascore rating of 7.45, putting him right in contention to knock Lee off top spot.
Cleworth scored when Wrexham beat Peterborough United 2-0 last weekend and his form is currently keeping new signing Dan Scarr out of the eleven.

Paul Mullin and George Evans are the lowest-rated Wrexham players
The two lowest-rated Wrexham players are not too surprising given what has happened in 2024/25.
Mullin missed the start of the campaign through injury and has only featured off the bench in his side’s last two fixtures.
The striker currently has a 6.5 rating on Sofascore having scored zero and missed one big chances in his limited game this term.
George Evans is comfortably the lowest-rated Wrexham player this year with a rating of 6.2.
He has played two games but like Mullin, both of those outings came from the bench.
Other Wrexham stars with a low rating this season include Sam Dalby (also 6.5), Ollie Rathbone (6.65) and James Jones (6.7).
