Arthur Okonkwo opens up on Wrexham transfer
Arthur Okonkwo initially joined Wrexham on loan from Arsenal in the 2023/24 season.
However, his contract with the Gunners expired at the end of June 2024, making him a free agent.
Wrexham snapped the goalkeeper up, and he’s since gone on to enjoy another prolific campaign, with Max Cleworth dubbing Okonkwo ‘unbelievable’ after his showings across 2024/25.
Now, the player has opened up on why he was convinced to sign for the Dragons permanently, as per Leader Live.
He said: “It was definitely the right move and I’m extremely happy.
“When I spoke to the gaffer last summer before I joined, straight away I knew that this was the right move.
“The manager had a plan, he said he wanted to go and do it again, and I signed.
“I have belief in the manager and the decisions he’s made and the players he brought in.”
