The ‘problem’ Ryan Reynolds causes whenever he visits Wrexham has now been shared. It shows class from the co-owner.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac still live in North America, but the Hollywood actors visit Wrexham whenever they get the chance.
The duo made the trip to North Wales at the start of the 2025/26 Championship season and were spotted filming for Welcome to Wrexham.
The hit series has brought a lot of new eyes to the football club and helped increase the Red Dragons’ commercial revenue.
Another thing the documentary has done brilliantly is give viewers an insight into the people of Wrexham, including Wayne Jones.

Welcome to Wrexham star’s ‘problem’ with Ryan Reynolds
Jones is the owner of The Turf Pub in Wrexham, which is featured heavily in the documentary.
Rob and Ryan visit the establishment regularly whenever they are in town, and Jones has now discussed the ‘problem’ Reynolds causes when he arrives.
The Turf owner was interviewed by Ben Foster and Ben Tozer on the That Wrexham Podcast this week and was asked about the Hollywood A-lister.

He said on Reynolds: “So when he [Ryan] comes in, he was supposed to be here Saturday, but he didn’t turn up. But when he comes in, we sort of barricade this [area] off.
“And I mean the problem, well, it’s not a problem, but the problem we find is that he won’t say no to anybody.
“So kids will line up the streets and they’ll line up in here, and he only comes for like an hour, but by the time he gets in here, he has like two quick Guinness and he’s got to get gone because he spends forever trying to get in and trying to get out.”

Will Ryan Reynolds attend Wrexham vs Birmingham City
Wrexham will face Birmingham City in their next Championship fixture.
It’s a huge game between the old League One rivals, and much of the pre-match build-up on TV is expected to focus on both teams’ celebrity owners.
Tom Brady won’t travel to Wrexham for the clash, and it seems unlikely that Ryan will either.
The actor has been busy in the last few weeks promoting his new show, ‘John Candy: I Like Me’.
There’s a chance he makes a quick trip over to Wales for the tie, but fans shouldn’t be surprised if he’s not in attendance, despite the big nature of the clash.
