Wrexham are once again set to do battle with Birmingham City in the 2025/26 season.

The two North America-backed EFL outfits went head-to-head in League One last season.

Birmingham City came out on top in their two fixtures, picking up a 3-1 win at St Andrew’s before drawing 1-1 at the Racecourse Ground later in the campaign.

Birmingham finished 2024/25 as League One title winners with an EFL-high 111 points, while Wrexham took second place.

This season, their first meeting will take place on October 3 after the Dragons’ meetings with Derby County and Leicester City.

Why Tom Brady won’t attend Wrexham vs Birmingham City

Brady, Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have formed an interesting rivalry of sorts over the last year.

It has been light-hearted, of course, but the North Americans have been keen to poke fun at each other.

Brady had an aggressive message for Reynolds and Mac ahead of a game last season.

And while words are expected to be exchanged via social media in the build-up to next week’s game, the NFL legend won’t be attending.

Give Me Sport reports that Brady will not travel to Wrexham for the game on October 3.

This is because the former footballer is set to act as a pundit for Fox Sports on Thursday evening.

The San Francisco 49ers host the Los Angeles Rams and Brady is expected to cover that game.

Tom Brady’s claim about Wrexham and Birmingham City was wrong

As mentioned, Birmingham beat Wrexham once last season, with the other tie ending as a draw.

However, Brady made a false claim about the results earlier this year, saying his Blues team beat Reynolds and Mac’s men ‘multiple times’.

He said: “You know what, we beat Wrexham. Let’s not talk about Wrexham. But we kicked their a– this year, multiple times.”

The second meeting between the two teams in 2025/26 will take place on April 11 in Birmingham.
