James McClean captained Wrexham as they secured a big 1-0 win over Barnsley on Tuesday.
The Red Dragons played their third home league game in a row in midweek and continued their excellent form at the Racecourse Ground.
Wrexham were unbeaten in nine home ties this season before welcoming Barnsley to Wales on December 3rd.
It was, much like Lincoln City last week, another tight game with the away outfit threatening on numerous occasions.
Callum Burton picked up an injury midway through the first half, potentially looking to derail the clash.
But veteran goalkeeper Mark Howard stepped up from the bench and was excellent, helping his side keep a third clean sheet on the spin.
When all was said and done, Wrexham beat Barnsley 1-0 thanks to a late effort from Ollie Rathbone.

What Wrexham fans spotted James McClean doing vs Barnsley
While Rathbone’s wonder strike stole the headlines, it was James McClean who was the talk of the game for large periods.
The Irishman was booked in the 73rd minute after getting into a scuffle with Corey O’Keeffe.
After that incident, Barnsley fans were left furious with McClean, both on social media and at the Racecourse.
Now, some eagle-eyed Wrexham fans have spotted what the 33-year-old did to mock the away supporters on the night.
Rathbone’s winner came in second-half injury time and McClean was among the players who quickly rushed over to celebrate with the midfielder.
When doing so, fans have now noticed and shared on X/Twitter that the left-back was spotted shushing the Barnsley supporters who had made the trip to Wales.

Wrexham dealt James McClean blow for Burton meeting
It was all fun and games, though opposition fans are unlikely to see it that way.
But Phil Parkinson does now have a big problem to deal with following Tuesday’s victory.
McClean was shown a booking for the incident with O’Keeffe that originally saw him draw the ire of Barnsley’s travelling supporters.
As a result, he is now going to be suspended on Saturday when Wrexham travel to Burton as that was his fifth yellow card of the season.
The Irishman has been crucial to the Red Dragons’ success this term and the fact he is now set to miss an away game – where they have been much weaker this term – is a major blow for Wrexham.
Sebastian Revan will most likely come into the team in place of the former Wigan Athletic man.
