Both Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have proven themselves to be class acts since taking over Wrexham.
The Hollywood duo bought the club back in February 2021 and have since enjoyed unrivalled success.
Just last week, Wrexham made history when their accounts for the 2023/24 season were released.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s impact has been felt heavily both on the pitch and behind the scenes.
Wrexham will have a big transfer budget if they win promotion to the Championship this season after posting a record turnover in 2023/24.
Meanwhile, they are close to making more history by becoming the first side to win three promotions in a row when starting at the National League or higher.
Prior to Rob and Ryan’s takeover, however, Wrexham fans had been waiting a while for any sort of success.

Why Ryan Reynolds made Andy Dibble cry
In fact, after a year and a bit under their new owners, the Red Dragons had spent a staggering 15 seasons stuck in the fifth tier of English football.
The Welsh outfit had not always been in such a bad state, however, actually enjoying some success in the early 2000s before previous owners ruined the club.
Wrexham won promotion to the Second Division (now League One) in the 2002/03 campaign.
Andy Dibble was part of that squad and continued to have strong ties to the club in the following years, thanks to his son, Christian.
Christian Dibble joined Wrexham in 2017 and made 61 appearances in all competitions before leaving the club in January 2023 on a free transfer.
After the goalkeeper’s exit, his father Andy revealed in late 2023, as per Leader Live, that a message he received from Reynolds brought a tear to his eye.
He said: “When Christian left Wrexham, Ryan sent me a private message on Twitter. It was fantastic and it made me feel so proud. Ryan was really kind, he thanked me for Christian’s service to Wrexham and talked about him as a goalkeeper but more than anything, he said how proud I should be for bringing up a special son.
“It brought a bit of a tear to my eye really. I didn’t expect somebody with his fame to message me but it meant so much to me, it was really special.”

What Christian Dibble did after leaving Wrexham
After departing Wrexham, Christian Dibble made the move to Kidderminster for free.
Now 30, the shot-stopper continues to be an integral part of their squad in 2024/25.
He’s made 41 appearances and kept a very impressive 22 clean sheets as Kidderminster battle it out in the National League North.
They are currently sat second in the division, only two points adrift of top spot with five games left to play.
