Wrexham is a football club very much on the rise, and judging by the latest job opening at the club, they’re not about to rest on their laurels.
Ever since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over at Wrexham, we’ve seen the club become a global sensation both on and off the pitch.
While Phil Parkinson and the players prepare for life in the Championship next season, the Wrexham brand has become a household name across the world.
With a strong base in the US, and a growing audience in Australia thanks to Wrexham’s pre-season tour down under, it’s hard to imagine things getting any bigger. But the club has other plans, clearly.

Wrexham’s job advert hints at bold plans for growth
Anyone who digs into Wrexham as much as we do may have spotted something very interesting recently, with a job advert posted on sites like Indeed for a role at the club.
Turns out, Wrexham are looking for a Head of Digital and Content; a full-time position that would have the successful applicant based in Wrexham.
What’s really interesting is the pay band for the job. At the bottom end of the scale Wrexham are offering just over £41,000 per year, but at the top end, the club could end up paying someone a massive £97,370 per year.
That’s a lot of money by any standards, but the fact Wrexham are willing to pay so much suggests to us that the Wrexham owners and the rest of the hierarchy there are eager to push the club further forward in the pursuit of global domination from a commercial perspective.
The job description is asking for a “dynamic and visionary leader to share and drive the digital and content strategy” at the club. The successful candidate will report directly to Rob Faulkner, the club’s Chief Business and Communications Officer.
They will be tasked with growing the fanbase, driving engagement, and maximising commercial opportunities, with a focus on “global awareness”.
We already know that Wrexham’s financial situation is pretty healthy thanks to the commercial success generated by their superstar owners and the Welcome to Wrexham docuseries, plus a slew of sponsorship deals. Now, they could truly go to the next level if they get this appointment right.

Can Wrexham take their brand to the next level?
There’s no denying it, Wrexham are huge. They may only just be back in the second tier for the first time in 43 years, but the Red Dragons are already one of the most popular clubs in the division now.
Wrexham are going to be aggressive in the market this summer and could well disrupt the status quo in the Championship in 2025/26.
We know Wrexham can eclipse the standard Championship revenue thanks to the deals they have in place, with shirt sponsorship at a Premier League level already.
If Wrexham could push on and get promoted again, there would be no limit to their commercial success around the world. In the event of a worst-case scenario where Wrexham were relegated, we could see some of the US fans lose interest, and that’s where this new Head of Digital and Content comes in, to make sure no one gives up on the Wrexham fairytale story.
