Wrexham are set to face Leicester City for the first time in 43 years in any domestic competition.
The Red Dragons will be looking to build upon their fine recent away run, as they have won four of their last five away league games.
The Red Dragons earned a draw against Derby County at the weekend, with the Welsh side being slightly disappointed they did not come away with all three points and a first win at the Racecourse Ground, due to the fine performances by the Wrexham players.
However, Phil Parkinson’s side have a chance now to make history in their next Championship fixture, when they travel to Leicester City on Tuesday night.
Wrexham could win a first-ever league match against Leicester City
It could be a historic night for Wrexham as they travel to Leicester to play Marti Cifuentes’ side, as they could for the first time ever secure a win against the Foxes.
The Red Dragons have only ever beaten the 2016 Premier League champions on one occasion: a 1-0 win in September 1976 in the League Cup.
Wrexham have faced Leicester in six league games, losing three of them and drawing the same amount, with Crystal Palace being the only club with a better record (16) than the Foxes to never lose a league game to the Red Dragons.
Meanwhile, Leicester have only faced Crewe (10), Loughborough (10), and Scunthorpe (8) more times without ever losing in the Football League.
Wrexham will have to overcome Leicester City’s unbreachable defence
Phil Parkinson’s side have had a good record on the road this season, and he will look to continue that at the King Power Stadium.
However, it will not be easy, as Leicester City have kept four clean sheets in their last five home league games.

Wrexham scored in each of their seven Championship matches so far this season, meaning confidence will be high that they can end this fine run of the Foxes at home.
The Foxes’ boss has seemingly identified the difference between the two sides, as Marti Cifuentes pointed to Leicester’s squad as having incredible quality; nevertheless, after Wrexham spending £33 million on Championship quality this summer, Parkinson will be confident in his team’s chances.
