Wrexham are on an excellent run of form right now, with Phil Parkinson and Max Cleworth potentially set to benefit.

When the 2024/25 season began, even the most die-hard Wrexham fans probably didn’t expect their team to be doing so well at this stage.

The Red Dragons earned a 1-0 win over Burton Albion last time out and have now climbed level on points with Wycombe Wanderers.

Wycombe are above Wrexham via goal difference and, along with third-place Birmingham City, have games in hand to play,

But the fact the Welsh outfit are still firmly in the automatic promotion race at this stage is very impressive.

A number of Wrexham stars have impressed over the course of 2024/25, while Phil Parkinson continues to shine in the dugout and is now on course for a third-straight promotion.

Wrexham duo Phil Parkinson and Max Cleworth nominated for League One awards

Wrexham had a fruitful November, which began with a 1-0 win over Mansfield Town on the 9th.

They did then suffer defeat at the hands of Stockport County but quickly bounced back by hammering Exeter City 3-0.

A 1-0 victory over Lincoln City rounded out the month and has seen Parkinson and Max Cleworth nominated for some prestigious awards.

Parkinson is up for the League One Manager of the Month prize for November alongside Matt Bloomfield (Wycombe Wanderers), Dave Challinor (Stockport County) and Michael Duff (Huddersfield Town).

Cleworth could also win the League One Player of the Month award for November, competing against Louie Barry (Stockport County), Harvey Knibbs (Reading) and Joe Low (Wycombe Wanderers).

Ollie Rathbone has been excellent for Wrexham

While Cleworth is certainly deserving of a nomination, Ollie Rathbone may feel hard done by after his fantastic form of late.

The £500,000 signing took some time to get up to speed following his summer transfer but has really come into his own of late.

He scored his first-ever league goal for the club last month vs Exeter, with Parkinson praising Rathbone after Lincoln as well.

But after scoring against Barnsley on December 3rd and playing well last time out, there is every chance we see the midfielder up for the POTM award this time next month.
