Wrexham wouldn’t be where they are today without the heroics of their talisman Paul Mullin.
Paul Mullin has scored 105 goals in 164 appearances since signing for Wrexham at the start of the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney era.
McElhenney has revealed his admiration for Mullin but the striker has struggled for this season after making the step up to League One with the club.
The signings of Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez have added to Phil Parkinson’s options up front and it means that Mullin has now moved down the pecking in the manager’s eyes.

Nathan Salt believes Paul Mullin will need striker injuries to get Wrexham minutes
Speaking on the latest edition of the Rob.Ryan.Red. podcast, journalist Nathan Salt has revealed his fears over the future of Paul Mullin at the club.
Salt stated: “I don’t think things will get easier for Mullin. I don’t think there’ll suddenly be a flurry of minutes that come his way by sheer chance. He is going to need, at this point, he’s going to need injuries.”
Salt then revealed his fears over Mullin’s long-term future at the club and whether his career at the Racecourse Ground could be coming to an end.
Salt explained: “I think I’m not as optimistic as other people that he’s suddenly going to look like the Paul Mullin of old. I’m not so sure that will be the case.
“I feel like every single week I say start Paul Mullin, it will come good at some point. But the longer it goes on, there’s just less evidence to suggest that.”
Mullin can take positives from Parkinson’s recent comments
Phil Parkinson will use the whole squad for the rest of the season as Wrexham attempt to achieve promotion alongside EFL Trophy success.
Mullin could be used in Wrexham’s hectic fixture list as the Red Dragons prepare to face nine games in the next month in league and cup.

The 30-year-old striker has scored five times in 31 appearances for Parkinson’s side this season and if given the chance, he will be looking to add to his tally to give Wrexham every possibility of success.
It remains to be seen whether the rest of the campaign could represent a swansong for the Wrexham legend Mullin but what can be sure is that he will give everything to the cause.
