Wrexham return to action on Tuesday evening, facing off with Bolton Wanderers in the quarter-final of the EFL Trophy.
The Red Dragons were not in action over the weekend owing to the FA Cup, giving them a much-needed break amid a hectic schedule.
Though they did not play on Saturday, Wrexham have been able to maintain third place in League One and remain within touching distance of the top two.
Wycombe Wanderers currently occupy the second automatic promotion place but are four points ahead of Phil Parkinson’s side.
January additions should strengthen the Welsh side but we are now getting into the business end of the season when games are coming thick and fast.
Wrexham’s 22-man League One squad was announced for the remainder of the campaign last week and it’s one of the strongest in the division.
However, all the players included (21), will be needed ahead of what is now set to be something of a nightmare period for Parkinson and co.

Wrexham fixtures are coming thick and fast
As already mentioned, Wrexham face Bolton in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday evening – a game Parky is likely to rotate for.
They then have a three-day break before taking on Northampton Town in the league on Saturday afternoon.
This week begins the start of a very busy month for the Red Dragons who currently have seven games scheduled between now and March 11th.
That is likely to increase to eight if they progress into the next round of the EFL Trophy, with a semi-final draw against Peterborough United already booked for the winner.

Paul Mullin could still be needed at Wrexham
With such a busy month now here, Parkinson is obviously going to have to utilise his entire squad to get through it.
This is excellent news for players like Paul Mullin, who looked to have fallen out of favour following the close of the transfer window.
Mullin could have left Wrexham amid interest in both he and Ollie Palmer after Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez arrived at the club.
But the duo chose to stay and Parkinson may be glad they did as while they are now likely fifth and sixth choice strikers behind the aforementioned duo, Jack Marriott and Steven Fletcher, the Red Dragons will need to rotate heavily with two games a week and potential injuries brought about by such a busy period.
