Wrexham are desperate to return to winning ways against Burton Albion after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Cambridge United.
Phil Parkinson’s side are still in the final automatic promotion spot following Sam Smith’s equaliser at the Abbey Stadium but Charlton and Stockport are chasing Wrexham as well as Wycombe Wanderers.
Parkinson named an unchanged side for the fourth consecutive League One clash and Paul Mullin sent a heartfelt message before the Cambridge game having been exiled from the squad yet again.
It is now 12 matchday squads in the league that Mullin has missed and as it stand his last kick for Wrexham this season will be a missed penalty in the EFL Trophy. One club expert has some advice for the striker.

Wrexham expert sends advice to Paul Mullin over future
Speaking on the latest episode of the Rob.Ryan.Red podcast, journalist and Wrexham expert Nathan Salt has sent Mullin some stark advice over his footballing future.
Salt stated: “I think Mullin now has a decision to make whereby maybe you need to start putting the feelers out.”
The Red Dragons fan and club expert went on to explain how Mullin cannot afford to let his career ‘dwindle’ and still has a lot to offer the game.
Salt explained: “Maybe you need to think, you know what, I don’t want my career when I’ve got so much left to give as a goal scorer to dwindle on the sidelines with respect in an Anthony Forde-type, world-boy-all-type role where you’re just an extra body in training.”
Mullin could hurt Wrexham by seeing out contract
Mullin could force a move away from Wrexham but also has the option of seeing out his contract until the summer of 2027.
The striker signed a contract extension back in January 2024 and according to Salary Sport, is currently earning £5800 a-week at the club.
| Paul Mullin statistics 2025 (all competitions) | Mullin |
| Appearances | 6 |
| Goals | 1 |

Mullin has cost £63,800 per goal this campaign so far and with chances limited in the calendar year so far, that figure shows no sign of decreasing.
At 30 years of age, Mullin still has a lot to offer the game and if he cannot force his way back into Wrexham’s plans, he has a big decision to make over his career in the summer.
