Wrexham are having another excellent season under Phil Parkinson.
League One promotion is in touching distance with eight games to go however, even if the club were to just miss out on Championship football next season, Wrexham have performed above expectations again.
Paul Merson believes Wrexham have the better fixtures and this is the case with Wycombe having to face six of the top nine teams in the division before the end of the season.
Eoghan O’Connell has been one of League One’s best players this campaign but according to Wrexham experts Rich Fay and Nathan Salt, another one of Phil Parkinson’s players should be named the club’s player of the season.

Wrexham experts name their player of the season
Speaking on the latest edition of the Rob.Ryan.Red podcast, Wrexham experts Fay and Salt have been discussing their early choices for the club’s player of the season.
The likes of O’Connell and Ollie Rathbone were discussed before the pair both agreed on a choice who has been a ‘model of consistency’ for the Red Dragons this season.
Salt stated: “Mr Cleworth, I would say for me right now, in late March heading into April, he is my player of the season, because he is a model of consistency.”
The journalist then went on to heap more praise on defender Cleworth and made another huge shout on the 22-year-old.
Salt explained: “You could probably count on one hand the amount of mistakes he has made. I believe he’s top two, top three most valuable players at the football club.”
Fellow journalist Fay also agreed with the choice and stated: “Yeah I agree with you on that. Max has always been there. He’s always a seven out of ten every single week.”
Wrexham must not sell Max Cleworth
Bryan Hughes claimed Cleworth is worth over £1m but if Wrexham want to continue progressing through the football pyramid, the 22-year-old defender has to remain part of their plans at the club.
Cleworth is a future Wrexham captain and has even taken the armband on a couple of occasions this season during the EFL trophy.

He has already made 40 appearances in all competitions this season and alongside his solidity at the back, Cleworth has made an incredible impact going forward with eight goals and two assists.
Parkinson should be looking to build the team around the young star whatever division the Red Dragons end up in next season, Cleworth has the talent to push the club forward.
