Wrexham, along with Birmingham City and Wycombe Wanderers, are aiming to win automatic promotion from League One but only two players from the three teams are among the top-10 highest-rated.
As is to be expected given their league position, a number of the Red Dragons players have impressed over the course of the 2024/25 campaign.
Sam Smith was compared to an Arsenal legend after he scored his winning goal versus Wycombe Wanderers last week.
He now has three goals for Wrexham and had already bagged 11 for Reading in the league before completing his winter switch.
Ollie Rathbone has earned praise for his constantly excellent display in the last few months.
However, neither Rathbone, Smith nor the likes of Max Cleworth and Ryan Barnett, are among the top-rated players in League One this term.

Eoghan O’Connell among highest-rated League One players
Instead, the only Wrexham man to be named on the list is centre-back, Eoghan O’Connell.
The defender’s form has been patchy in 2024/25, with Parkinson urged to drop O’Connell ahead of their 1-1 draw with Birmingham City last month.
However, according to WhoScored, he’s been given an average rating of 7.34 in the league this term, putting him fourth in the top-10 list.
Surprisingly, Christoph Klarer is the only Birmingham man to make the list despite the Blues running away with the league. Wycombe, meanwhile, don’t even have one star included.
| Player/Team | Rating |
| Paudie O’Connor, Lincoln City | 7.55 |

O’Connell is obviously the top-rated Wrexham player, while Lewis Brunt takes second place.
Callum Burton is technically third, though he has only played four matches this season.
