The Football League season is hectic enough as it is, but now Wrexham are facing a messy month of games in February, with one major downside.
Wrexham are now 25 games into the League One season and the Red Dragons are flying high once more under Phil Parkinson.
The next few months will be make or break for Wrexham as they look to clinch a third-successive promotion and reach the Championship.
While most fans are looking forward to watching Wrexham take on Shrewsbury this week after almost a fortnight without a game, they’ll be wishing for another break by this time next month.

Wrexham have no home game throughout February thanks to fixture changes
Last week, Wrexham’s EFL Trophy tie versus Port Vale was postponed due to the weather. Now, thanks to Leyton Orient’s penalty shootout win over Derby County in the FA Cup third round, another of the Red Dragons’ upcoming fixtures will need to change.
The Port Vale clash has now been rearranged for February 4, but the FA Cup fourth round meeting between Orient and Manchester City will now take the February 8 slot that was originally set to be a League One meeting between Wrexham and Richie Wellens’ side.
All of these adjustments mean that Wrexham now, as things stand, face a whole month of away games, with not one fixture in February set to take place at the Racecourse Ground.
That could change depending on the result of the EFL Trophy third round tie — if Wrexham win, they could end up with a home tie in the next round.
Add to this the fact that the EFL still need to find a date for Wrexham’s away trip to Reading, and the Leyton Orient fixture at some point before the end of the season, and Parkinson’s men are facing a relentless run.

Make or break time for Wrexham – they must fix away form or flounder in February
Everyone knows how Wrexham have struggled away from home this season — it’s one of the main things holding them back compared to Birmingham — but now is as good a time as any to resolve that, especially because they have no choice.
Simply put, Wrexham will need to turn around their away from throughout February, or they will crash out of the cup and lose pace in the League One title race.
Thankfully, the upcoming game against Shrewsbury is the perfect opportunity to grab an away win, and if they do meet expectations at Croud Meadow, we could see a change in fortunes on the road for Wrexham.
