Wrexham beat Barnsley 1-0 in a League One meeting at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday evening.
Death, taxes and Wrexham remaining unbeaten on home soil. It was by no means a superb showing but they got the job done in the end.
The Red Dragons struggled to get control of the game early on, not being helped out when Callum Burton was forced off vs Barnsley.
However, Mark Howard stepped up and was his usually reliable self between the sticks, ensuring the Welsh outfit were able to keep another clean sheet.
At the other end of the pitch, the likes of Matty James, Elliot Lee and Ryan Barnett all threatened but were kept out by some heroics from the Barnsley keeper.
But Ben Killip could do nothing about the winner, with Ollie Rathbone blasting in a thunderous effort from just outside the box in second-half injury time to ensure Wrexham beat Barnsley 1-0.

Wrexham fans in agreement about Paul Mullin after Barnsley
Barnsley fans were left furious at Wrexham star James McClean during the 90 minutes, believing the defender should have seen red.
Meanwhile, Wrexham fans have now taken to social media to make their feelings on Paul Mullin clear.
The striker came off the bench once more on Tuesday and though he did not score, the 30-year-old was showered in praise.
One fan wrote: “I think Paul Mullin is back btw.”
A second fan agreed: “I was thinking the same. Looked sharp, great impact and trouble wherever he went! A few goals and,” followed by a fingers-crossed emoji,
“Looked great after coming on. Fletcher still runs hot or cold, he’ll take a perfect touch and almost volley it top corner or he’ll fail a six-yard pass,” a third stated.
While a fourth Red Dragons fan wrote: “He’ll get one and then all of a sudden he’ll have ten. More than good enough for this level.”
“Looked very sharp,” a sixth claimed, with another simply stating: “Was a menace.”
An eighth explained: “What a win! Rathbone was fantastic! Mullin deserves every bit of credit as well! Changed the game massively when he came on! Fletcher looked sharp also!”

Paull Mullin can ease Wrexham blows suffered at Barnsley
Wrexham were dealt some big blows during the win, including Burton being forced off due to injury.
Elsewhere, McClean and George Dobson both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season, meaning they are now suspended for Saturday’s trip to Burton.
The Welsh outfit have been pretty poor on the road this season and will now be without at least two of their top stars for the game.
However, if, as Wrexham fans hoped after Barnsley, Mullin is back to his best, those aforementioned blows should be eased somewhat.
The League One promotion race remains very tight but potentially having their record goalscorer backfiring is very exciting for the club.
Mullin has netted just once in the third tier this term but his cameo off the bench in midweek suggests we could finally start to see him at his best very soon.
