Wrexham are eyeing yet another promotion under Phil Parkinson in 2024/25.
The Red Dragons are once again back in League One action on Tuesday evening after having the weekend off due to them already being out of the FA Cup.
Wrexham host Barnsley at the Racecourse Ground on December 3rd, aiming to keep their automatic promotion hunt alive and well.
Ahead of the midweek action, Phil Parkinson has his players sitting second in the division and four points behind league leaders Wycombe Wanderers.
However, Wycombe have a game in hand while third-place Birmingham City are just a point adrift with two games in hand.
With the battle for a place in next season’s Championship so tight, it is imperative Wrexham remain at their best in the coming months.
Of late, the Hollywood-owned club have been in top form, in no small part due to the displays of Matty James.

Matty James praises Premier League club amid Wrexham form
James joined Wrexham on a free transfer at the back end of October amid the club seeing their midfield ranks depleted.
The 33-year-old has been immense during his short time in Wales, with Wrexham fans sending a James transfer message to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney after the win over Lincoln City.
Now, as per Leader Live, James has praised Premier League club Leicester City for allowing him to train with them in pre-season after he became a free agent.
He said: “Leicester were unbelievable allowing me to go in and do pre-season with them, but I didn’t get the games.
“I think I got just over 90 minutes against Exeter and about 75 minutes against Lincoln.
“I’m really pleased and I want to try and build on that in the coming weeks.
“I’d play tomorrow if I could. I just want to play as many games as I can, but the fact there is an opportunity to get a week between games is a good thing for me and I’ll do everything I can to recover right and get ready for Tuesday’s game.
“Prepare right, train well and then if selected, try and put in another good performance.”

Phil Parkinson must thank Premier League club for Matty James Wrexham form
When James was signed, most fans likely assumed he was simply there to make up the numbers.
However, the ex-Manchester United gem has now firmly cemented himself as a key player for the Red Dragons.
He has started their last two league games and could well play an important role on Tuesday against Barnsley.
In fact, the midfielder has performed so well that TWI revealed last week that Wrexham want to offer James a contract in the coming weeks.
His current deal is due to expire on December 31st, 2024, but the Englishman looks set to stay at the Racecourse until at least the end of the current season.
Parkinson labelled James ‘outstanding’ recently and should be thanking Leicester as if he had not been able to train with them in pre-season, there is a chance his form would be nowhere near as good right now.
