It wasn’t a good weekend for Wrexham, but maybe the players away on loan had a better time of it at their respective clubs?
Wrexham suffered a dismal defeat at the hands of Stoke City on Saturday afternoon to drop closer to the relegation zone.
Indeed, Opta’s supercomputer gives Wrexham a 20% chance of going down this season after that result. Phil Parkinson has quite the task on his hands from here on out, that’s for sure.
But, let’s turn our attention away from the Wrexham squad for now and think about the players who have been loaned out to other clubs for the 2025/26 campaign.

Paul Mullin – Wigan Athletic
There wasn’t much to discuss about Paul Mullin’s latest outing for Wigan Athletic. The Latics may have won 1-0 against Port Vale, but Mullin only played three minutes as a late substitute.
| Paul Mullin | Stats vs Port Vale |
| Shots | 0 |
| Accurate passes | 2/2 |
| Touches | 5 |
| Possession lost | 1 |
| Blocked shots | 1 |
| Ground duels (won) | 1 |
Mullin has four goals to his name so far this season, but has struggled of late. That’s now five games without a goal for the Wrexham loanee.
He’ll now have to wait until Saturday to see if he can make the starting line-up for Wigan’s next game, an away trip to Mansfield Town.
Thomas O’Connor and Jacob Mendy – Peterborough United
Thomas O’Connor arguably had the best weekend of any Wrexham loanee. He played the full 90 minutes for Peterborough and helped his side claim a huge three points in their fight against relegation.
A 65th minute goal from Archie Finn Collins was enough to get Posh over the line, and even a red card for Tom Lees couldn’t stop them. O’Connor picked up a yellow card during the game, but will be delighted with his clean sheet.
Meanwhile, Jacob Mendy wasn’t included in the matchday squad at all. He had played the last five games, but was dropped this weekend.
Sebastian Revan – Burton Albion
Seb Revan did not feature this weekend. His Burton Albion side took on Peterborough and lost 1-0, but Revan was nowhere to be seen.

Mo Faal – Port Vale
After a bright start to his Port Vale career, Mo Faal has struggled to hold down a starting spot of late. He played just one minute last weekend, so a 29-minute cameo this time around is an improvement, at least.
He managed a couple of shots against Wigan Athletic, with one missing the target and one saved by Sam Tickle.
The forward managed to rack up ten touches and one successful dribble, but he was dispossessed four times.
Jake Bickerstaff – Cheltenham Town
Jake Bickerstaff is yet to score for Cheltenham Town and that run continued this weekend, with another blank in a 2-0 win over Newport County.
This weekend, Bickerstaff played 77 minutes but failed to register a single shot at all. He did make one key pass, though, with an overall pass success rate of 82% (18 out of 22 passes completed). However, with eight unsuccessful touches and being dispossessed 14 times, it wasn’t a good day for the forward.
It was a great game for former Wrexham favourite Luke Young, though. He scored both goals for Cheltenham, his first since December of last year.
Callum Edwards – Southport
After two games out of the matchday squad, Callum Edwards was on the bench for Southport and managed to get some minutes under his belt.
His side won 2-1 away from home against Oxford City in the National League North.
