Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds has made a generous offer to Wrexham striker Paul Mullin.

Since the Hollywood takeover, it has been a successful period for Wrexham with back-to-back promotions to League One.

Attention on Phil Parkinon‘s side has been huge with the Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bringing a global appeal to the Red Dragons.

However, the owners’ work off the pitch has been just as important in the Wrexham journey.

The docuseries ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ has shown a glimpse into the life of the players off the field with some of the Wrexham stars showing their family life.

Wrexham talisman Paul Mullin has been open about his son’s autism and has sought to raise awareness for autistic children.

Despite Reynolds being absent for the Chelsea game, his latest gesture shows he is invested in helping his players and the community.

Ryan Reynolds offers to support Wrexham star Paul Mullin’s charity

The Hollywood actor has recently been filming his latest Deadpool movie, with the latest addition to his franchise just being released.

Despite Deadpool being the only thing that can distract Reynolds from Wrexham, he still had one of his Red Dragons stars in mind after completing the film.

The actor had to keep fit to play his role in the Deadpool movie with brand new gym equipment being purchased. With the film now complete, the Wrexham owner has put the equipment up for auction and has dedicated the proceeds to Mullin’s Your Space charity.

Speaking to the Charitybuzz website, Reynolds said: “Not all heroes lift weights, but they sure can pump iron for a good cause!

“Thanks to our friends at Life Fitness, we’re auctioning off the very gym equipment that had me begging for mercy while training for Deadpool & Wolverine under the expert, and slightly sadistic, guidance of Don Saladino.

“This gear isn’t just drenched in my sweat—I’ve also marked my territory by signing these pain machines.

“Now that I can finally deflate my muscles, all proceeds will go to the phenomenally fit footballer Paul Mullin’s Your Space charity. Your Space supports children with Autism by providing positive social environments and community.”

Ryan Reynolds is focused on Wrexham on and off the field

Since the Canadian actor took over, he has been committed to achieving success both on and off the pitch.

It is an important factor for him with a big commitment to the local community.

Both Reynolds and McElhenney recognized the importance of the community to the Welsh club with its fans and town at the heart of the club.

The latest gesture by the Hollywood owner shows his desire to personally help his players off the field and create an important and supporting environment at Wrexham.

As the club progress through the EFL, the infrastructure at the club will need to improve and on-pitch success will become a greater focus with the prospect of Championship and Premier League football as the dream targets.

However, with the latest gesture, fans can be reassured that the owner is committed to helping the community and will respect the club’s culture in the coming years.
