Rob Mac has previously explained the difficulty of moving players on from Wrexham after they have helped them achieve success.
This is the unique element of promotion, as a club requires talent who are able to perform at a higher division, meaning that several players could be deemed surplus to requirements for the next season.
The Red Dragons have had to do this several times following their historic three consecutive promotions through the English football pyramid, with it getting no easier for Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.

Wrexham spent £33 million on 13 new signings to prepare them for their season in the Championship, which meant that there would be several players being released; however, one of those has seemingly gone from strength to strength at his new club.
Jordan Davies is nominated for League Two player of the month
Jordan Davies was released in the summer after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Wrexham at the end of his contract.
That is despite his impact in helping the club achieve consecutive promotions from the National League and League Two.
Davies spent the last Red Dragons’ League One campaign on loan at Grimsby Town in the hope that he could impress and work his way back into Phil Parkinson’s squad; however, the period in the north of England would not go as planned, and he could not impress due to injury.
He did not earn a renewal of his contract and was snapped up by Fleetwood Town, where he has found fine form in September, as he scored three goals in his first four starts for the club.
This has earned him a nomination for the PFA League Two Fans’ Player of the Month, with the midfielder hopeful of winning it as he continues to reignite his career.

Phil Parkinson on the release of Jordan Davies in the summer
The Wrexham manager had been a fan of the midfielder during his time at the club but realised the need for all parties to release the player, as minutes at the Welsh club could not be guaranteed.
Parkinson believed Davies would thrive away from Wrexham, and he has been proven right, as seen in his words to The Leader in the summer.

He said: “I feel for Jordan a little bit. I still think Jordan has got plenty to offer. He had a difficult season at Grimsby with his injuries, but one thing you can’t take away from Jordan is he can be a match-winner.
“I sat down and had a really good chat with him last week, and just talked to him about what I felt he needed to do going forward because I want to see Jordan do well next year. He is someone who has certainly got the capabilities to do that.
“But he is at that point in his career where he knows he needs to have a good season next year.”
