Wrexham picked up a fine away win on Saturday afternoon, beating Northampton Town 2-0 on the road.
Wrexham were back in League One action once again over the weekend, just days after progression in the EFL Trophy.
Away form may have been a problem for Wrexham this season but that hasn’t been the case in recent weeks.
Saturday’s trip Northampton Town brought a third away win in a row in all competitions having also beaten Crawley Town and Port Vale.
Wrexham were pretty comfortable against Northampton and claimed a strong 2-0 win at Sixfields.
January signing Sam Smith grabbed the opener before Ollie Rathbone showcased his goalscoring ability with the second goal.

Wrexham star named in League One Team of the Week
All of the praise after Saturday’s win seems to have one in the direction of goalscorers Smith and Rathbone.
Phil Parkinson has hailed Smith as the new signing bagged his first Wrexham goal.
James McClean has raved about Rathbone too, admitting his ‘disbelief’ that Wrexham were even able to sign him.
You would assume that, if Wrexham were to have any representation in the League One Team of the Week, Smith or Rathbone would be there.
That is not the case though as the official League One Team of the Week – powered by WhoScored – actually featured Lewis Brunt instead.
Brunt was the only Wrexham player named as the defender earned an 8.02 rating on WhoScored.
The strange thing here is that Brunt wasn’t actually Wrexham’s highest-rated defender against Northampton.
Eoghan O’Connell actually scored an 8.03 rating yet it was Brunt who got the nod in the Team of the Week.
No surprise to see Lewis Brunt back in the Wrexham XI
Brunt took a while to really feature on a regular basis in the Wrexham back line but was outstanding once he got going.
Sadly, the former Leicester talent suffered an injury which halted his progress in frustrating fashion.
Thomas O’Connor filled in as Wrexham’s left-sided centre back but didn’t particularly impress in Brunt’s absence.
Now back in action once again, it’s no surprise to see that Brunt has taken his spot in the Wrexham defence back once again.
Saturday’s display shows that Brunt is making up for lost time and doesn’t appear to have suffered any lasting effects from that injury.
Wrexham hijacked Mansfield Town for Brunt over the summer and, as things stand, it looks like an absolute masterstroke.
