Wrexham have endured a number of significant injuries at the start of their Championship campaign.
Liberato Cacace has withdrawn from the New Zealand squad, however, it is thought that he is focusing on his recovery following his return to action in Wrexham’s victory over Millwall.
Ollie Rathbone and Josh Windass are still weeks away from return and Jay Rodriguez is a long-term absentee.
Even new signing Nathan Broadhead picked up a knock forcing him to withdraw from the latest Wales squad and now Phil Parkinson has received bad news in the form of goalkeeper Danny Ward.

Wrexham goalkeeper Danny Ward set for surgery on dislocated elbow
As per the Leader, Parkinson has revealed that Ward will be out for a ‘significant’ period of time following a collision in the victory over Millwall.
Ward went down under a challenge in stoppage time and received treatment on the pitch for almost 20 minutes, it has now been revealed he has suffered a dislocated elbow.
Parkinson stated: “It is really bad news for us with Danny and more importantly for himself. It is a dislocated elbow but when you do a dislocation, you have ligament damage which needs rectifying.
“He faces an operation on Friday and he will obviously have a significant period of time out. I think the specialist has said we won’t know until he has actually done the operation and put a timescale on that but obviously it is a serious injury and our thoughts are with Danny.
“It is part and parcel of football picking up injuries and he will come back at some point this season ready to play his part.”
What Phil Parkinson has said about replacing Danny Ward
Speaking in the same interview, Parkinson has highlighted Arthur Okonkwo and Callum Burton as capable replacements for Ward.
Many fans believe Okonkwo should be number one this season after performing so well last season and Parkinson revealed that he convinced Burton to stay at the club before the end of the transfer window.
Parkinson explained: “We have got two great goalkeepers. The save Arthur made when he came on, I’m not sure many other keepers make that save and Callum is a terrific goalkeeper.

“When we brought Danny in, there was maybe talk of Callum going but I sat down with him and said I really wanted him to stay because I feel he has got a part to play.
“If you look at the way he played when he got in the team last year, he was doing great.”
Wrexham have signed goalkeepers on short-term deals in the past and Fraser Forster is available on a free transfer.
However, Parkinson has two quality goalkeepers at his disposal, both eager to prove they are good enough to perform in the second tier.
