Wrexham are becoming a model that other clubs are envious of.
Premier League clubs are jealous of Wrexham because of their popularity in North America, largely thanks to the success of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ series.
Departures are expected from Wrexham this summer as owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney look to spend big to realise their dream of Premier League football.
The Wrexham squad evolution is inevitable as they progress through the league but Phil Parkinson has remained a constant on the journey.
Should the Red Dragons make it four successive promotions next campaign, there could be a temptation to bring in a manager with top-flight experience and journalist Tim Spiers has predicted who may take the hotseat at the Racecourse Ground.

Wrexham tipped as Ange Postecoglou’s next job
As per The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been tipped to take the Wrexham manager’s job when he leaves Spurs.
The Australian is under pressure at White Hart Lane as the club currently sit 17th in the Premier League, despite reaching the Europa League final against Manchester United.
The Athletic journalist, Spiers, believes that should Postecoglou depart Spurs, North Wales could be a good fit for the ‘serial winner’ as he looks to impose his attacking style on a new club.
Spiers wrote on Postecoglou: “A serial winner, as we all know, but what has the Tottenham job done to his reputation?
“Well, after inevitably being sacked by Spurs soon, Postecoglou will want a club on the up, a club who’ll want to play attacking football, and a club who want to win a big trophy in two years. Next job: Wrexham.”
Phil Parkinson out to prove himself in the Championship
Parkinson celebrated 1000 games in his managerial career earlier this season and has rightly earned ‘legendary’ status at the club.
Wrexham will be underdogs in a lot of matches next season but Parkinson’s Championship record is something he will be desperate to rectify.
| Competition | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Points | Points per match |
| League One | 431 | 191 | 129 | 111 | 702 | 1.63 |
| Championship | 141 | 26 | 37 | 78 | 115 | 0.82 |
The club are set for a busy summer in the transfer window as they try to build a squad capable of competing in the Championship.
Harry Darling is linked with Wrexham with the Swansea defender out of contract and has impressed this season in the second tier.
Parkinson will be hoping for a solid start to the campaign and to eradicate any doubts over his ability to manage at a higher level.
