Speaking on Football Daily’s Monday Night Club podcast, BBC Sport journalist Chris Wathan has revealed that Wrexham are the envy of Premier League clubs due to their success and popularity State side.
Wathan stated: “It isn’t all about McElhenney and Reynolds money, it is about this incredible model that they’ve created, and you have to say, it’s probably the envy of world football,
“They will go on US tours. They are huge in America and this isn’t a grand plan of ‘we want to tap in to new markets’.”
Wathan explained: “I was told by one official who bumped into another Premier League club, who admitted jealousy that Wrexham have got to a level of US popularity.”

Wrexham’s recent record financial figures are now set to grow once again following their success on the pitch.
Money will need to spent in further strengthening the squad, Tom Lawrence is flattered by Wrexham’s interest and is one name already linked with a move to the club.
