Wrexham sit six points clear of Wycombe Wanderers in the race for promotion from League One with just a handful of games to play.
Wrexham have just five games of the season to play, and a third straight promotion is now in sight.
Phil Parkinson watched on as Wrexham beat Burton Albion 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, securing three crucial points in the promotion race.
Sam Smith inspired the Wrexham victory, winning a penalty before scoring himself, with Jack Marriott coming off the bench to add number three.
Wrexham’s victory received a huge bonus as Wycombe Wanderers lost 1-0 away at Reading.
That allowed Wrexham to open a six-point gap in the race for second place, and ultimately take full control of the promotion race.

Wycombe Wanderers boss on Wrexham advantage
Wycombe have a game in hand on Wrexham and had been holding onto that in the promotion race.
When the gap was just three points, Wycombe at least had the comfort of a game in hand to potentially eat up that difference.
Instead, Wrexham are now six points away – and Wycombe’s trip to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night has suddenly become must-win for the Chairboys.
Wycombe also failed to beat struggling Shrewsbury Town last week, taking just one point from two games.
Wrexham fans will be watching events in West Yorkshire with intent on Tuesday night, and boss Mike Dodds has commented on his side’s situation.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Dodds suggested that Wycombe don’t deserve to have suffered dropping five points from the last two games.
Dodds called the situation ‘really harsh’ and ‘gutwrenching’, accepting that the advantage is now fully with Wrexham.
Dodds is holding out hope that the promotion race will ‘swing very very quickly’, but knows that his side are now facing a real battle.
“I think it’s a really harsh week,” said Dodds.
“The fans, the people behind the scenes, the players, don’t deserve what’s happened. At the moment it’s gutwrenching. When you’re in our position, the weight of the world is on your shoulders a bit.
“The advantage is with Wrexham at the moment, I’m not naive to that, but that can swing very very quickly,” he added.
Wycombe fixtures look tricky
Aaron McLean recently backed Wrexham for promotion, pointing out that Wycombe’s run-in looked more difficult.
Paul Merson reacted to Wrexham’s fixtures by joking that the club must have put together the final fixtures because they are so favourable.
Wrexham not only head to face Huddersfield Town, but must still face Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient and Stockport County – all in the top nine places of the League One table.
That is a gruelling run-in, and Wrexham should now feel confident of achieving a third straight promotion.
Wycombe do have the quality to get back on track and string wins together, but that gap to Wrexham means the advantage is certainly with Parkinson.
