Wrexham have been linked with a move for Christian Eriksen, but a move for the Dane does seem unlikely.
After being promoted to the Championship, the Dragons have been linked with some pretty crazy transfers.
This is to be expected given the high-profile nature of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
However, even though Wrexham are in a great financial position and do have plenty of money to spend this summer despite some rival fans already raising PSR concerns, a move for Christian Eriksen does seem unrealistic, even with their owners.
Eriksen was earning £7,800,000-per-year at Manchester United, and even if he were to take a wage cut, it would still be a pretty insane move for Wrexham to make.
While the Dane would obviously be a fantastic addition to the club’s midfield this summer, another player does seem the more realistic option.

Wrexham dream and realistic midfield signing
In an ideal world, Eriksen would be Wrexham’s marquee midfield signing this summer, but that is unlikely to be the case.
Instead, another transfer target who is said to be waiting for the Welsh side seems the most suitable option.
The Wrexham Insider revealed in early June that Wrexham were interested in Lewis Travis of Blackburn Rovers.
Further reports on the club’s interest in the midfielder have since emerged, with one this week claiming that Travis is seeking ‘big money’ and is waiting for Wrexham to make a firm move for him.
That same report mooted a potential transfer fee of £2m, which would make him the Welsh side’s second-most expensive signing just behind Sam Smith (£2.02m).

Three reasons for Wrexham to sign Lewis Travis
Travis is a natural leader, having impressed while acting as Blackburn captain across the majority of 2024/25.
Crucially, the 27-year-old is already well proven at Championship level, having featured 242 times in the competition.
He is also very defensively sound, which will be very important for Wrexham next term when they are facing much tougher opposition.
Andy Cannon and Matty James have performed well when sitting as the deepest of the midfield three in front of the backline, but Travis would bring an extra level of defensive protection.
