Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson will surely be keen to strike a return for one player who Ryan Hardie starred alongside at Plymouth Argyle.
Wrexham’s summer transfer ambitions have ramped up in recent days, with the Red Dragons keen to bolster their squad ahead of the season.
Phil Parkinson has been critical of his forwards after the defeat to Wellington Phoenix, and such criticism may spark movement from Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac in the transfer window.
Wrexham need improvements across the pitch, with the defence being one of Parkinson’s priorities.
Liberato Cacace has signed for Wrexham, but he won’t be the only addition to the backline this summer. Parkinson could very well bring in a player to slot in at the right of defence, something which could lead to him making contact with one player he is a massive fan of.

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson would be open to Bali Mumba reunion
Before his time at Wrexham, Phil Parkinson was manager of now-Premier League club Sunderland during their time in League One.
As part of the squad back in 2020, he had a young Bali Mumba, who was performing brilliantly at youth level.
Speaking back when he was involved with the Black Cats, via The Chronicle, Parkinson said: “Bali is still a young lad, really, and he was progressed quickly to the first-team scene – and rightly so, because he is a talent.
“He is a player that we want to keep around our club.”
Since his time at Sunderland, Mumba has matured into a top Championship star, playing on 43 occasions for Plymouth Argyle in the league last season.
Mumba has shown to be a guaranteed threat in the Championship, and following Plymouth Argyle’s relegation, he will surely be keen to jump ship and return to the second tier.

Bali Mumba would help get the best out of Ryan Hardie
Not only could Phil Parkinson’s close ties with Bali Mumba help in potentially capturing the full-back from Plymouth Argyle, but new Wrexham star Ryan Hardie will also be keen to reunite with his former teammate.
Mumba, whilst positionally being a defender, could help transform Wrexham’s attack because of his ability to guide through players with the ball, showing a keenness to get the ball forward quickly.
The Plymouth Argyle man also possesses a killer cross, something that could help unlock a key quality of Hardie’s.
As a towering threat in the box, Hardie will be keen to have the assurance that Mumba could target him with his pinpoint crosses, as they were able to successfully do during their shared time at Plymouth Argyle.
