Transfer deadline day has already brought excitement to Wrexham supporters, who confirmed their eighth addition of the summer on Friday morning.
Wrexham confirmed the signing of West Bromwich Albion striker Modou Faal on a three-year deal.
Phil Parkinson was understandably delighted to get a deal for Faal over the line, especially after the trials and tribulations of landing a centre-forward this summer.
Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds aren’t expecting to stop there, though, as eagle-eyed fans spotted former Manchester City academy talent Josh Adam training with Wrexham.
Adam is a 20-year-old midfielder who was released by Man City this summer and could add extra guile and creativity from central areas.
So, with that said, here’s what Wrexham’s strongest possible lineup could look like after Deadline Day passes.

Wrexham possible XI after Transfer Deadline Day
Competition for places is already strong at the Racecourse Ground and if they announce Adam as a new signing to go with Faal’s arrival, that competition will become even greater.
Parkinson’s defence currently speaks for itself, as Arthur Okonkwo lines up in goal with the reliable trio of Max Cleworth, Eoghan O’Connell and Tom O’Connor just ahead.
Ryan Barnett is the preferred option at right wing-back, although a case can be made for Sebastian Revan, while on the left, captain James McClean is proving to be an immovable object.
Across the midfield, supporters have rarely seen record-signing Ollie Rathbone in action yet, as Wrexham have mainly used George Dobson, Andy Cannon and Elliot Lee as a trio.
Should Wrexham sign the former Scotland under-21 international Adam, he could provide some attacking thrust centrally, having scored 11 goals and supplied 10 assists in 44 appearances for Man City’s under-18s.
As for the strikers, now that Paul Mullin has returned from injury, his place in the starting XI will be guaranteed very soon, at the expense of Jack Marriott, while new signing Faal should partner him.
Faal scored 15 goals across spells at Doncaster Rovers and Walsall last term, with the 21-year-old now ready to shine in League One.
- Wrexham’s possible best XI (3-5-2): Okonkwo; Cleworth, O’Connell, O’Connor; Barnett, Dobson, Cannon, Lee, McClean; Mullin, Faal
Phil Parkinson spoilt for options at Wrexham
For Parkinson, it is both a blessing and a curse to be spoilt with so many options across his squad.
Every week the Wrexham boss is dealt with a new selection dilemma and the addition of Faal will only add to that problem.
Faal faces a battle with Ollie Palmer and Steven Fletcher for a start, who are both unlikely to remain at the club for the long term.
Striker, meanwhile, isn’t the only position giving Parkinson a headache, as signing Adam will add an extra layer to his midfield conundrum.
With Wrexham starting this season strong, hopes of a promotion push have been ignited and given who they’ve signed this summer, it’s impossible to rule out at least a play-off finish for the Reds.
