Wrexham’s rise under Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac could be replicated by another side who are currently suffering in the National League South.
Wrexham’s emergence from non-league to becoming a heavy-hitter in the EFL has been astonishing, with Phil Parkinson’s side notching three successive promotions.
After their brilliant success under the stewardship of Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac, Wrexham will now compete in the Championship, where they find themselves one promotion away from the Premier League.
It is safe to say that WrexhamFX helped shine a light on the non-league scene, and whilst the Red Dragons have now left that behind, the National League has never had more eyes on it.
The fairytale story of Wrexham has inspired others to lead their own club, and the successes that Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have notched could be replicated by a London-based club who have been taken over by Qatari investors.

Wrexham’s successes could be replicated by Dagenham & Redbridge following Qatari takeover
Yesterday, it was confirmed that Dagenham & Redbridge were to be taken over by Qatari investors, headed by Mr. Youseph Al Sharif as Interim Chairman.
Dagenham & Redbridge currently occupy a spot in the National League South, one division below where Wrexham were when Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac took over at the club.
The Qatari investors have arrived with significant financial backing, and like Reynolds and Mac did by bringing Paul Mullin to the club, Dag & Red have wasted no time bringing in a high-profile striker.
It could be suggested that Wrexham have been outdone by Dag & Red with their first signing after the National League South side confirmed the capture of former Liverpool, Newcastle United, and England striker Andy Carroll.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac helped change the landscape of English non-league football
Before Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac took over Wrexham, non-league football was regarded as a void by many onlookers. Considering the rule of just two clubs being promoted from the National League, which contributed to the Red Dragons missing out on their reward in Reynolds and Mac’s first season, it seemed too high a risk for interested parties to get involved.
However, Wrexham have shown that a club can rise from despair and become an international powerhouse, and there is no doubt that the Dagenham & Redbridge investors took inspiration from this.
If Dag & Red follow up their signing of Andy Carroll by acquiring more high-profile figures in English football, it is not out of the realms of uncertainty that we could see them potentially replicate Wrexham’s success from recent seasons.
