Fellow Welsh side Swansea City have used Snoop Dogg to hit back at Wrexham and Ryan Reynolds.
Wrexham’s club image and publicity have skyrocketed since the acquisition of the club by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
For a club that was lingering and rotting in the National League, with there being no obvious exit route out of the doldrums, the job that Reynolds and Mac have done is astonishing.
Whilst Phil Parkinson has been able to deliver success on the pitch, the true growth has been in the support that Wrexham has accumulated, especially in the USA.
For any Wrexham fans who were around before the takeover, they could never imagine such a phrase being uttered…but Swansea City have used Snoop Dogg to fire shots at Reynolds and Wrexham in their latest kit launch.

Snoop Dogg features in Swansea City collab that mentions Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds
In the latest installment of creative kit launches, fellow Welsh side Swansea City have turned towards US rapper Snoop Dogg to not only model their 2025/26 home jersey, but also to give the Swans an opportunity to aim a dig towards Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham.
Swansea responded to Reynolds’ Instagram post modelling the kit, where he was pictured with his pet, leading to the Wrexham co-owner specifying that the dog was ‘not included’.
Taking to X, Swansea City used this to post a photo of Snoop Dogg in their new home kit, with the caption ‘Dogg included. Nuthin’ But A Wales Thang, the Jacks are ready. We’re the Pride of Wales.’
Swansea City fans are confused over ‘rivalry’ with Wrexham
Following Cardiff City’s relegation to League One, the fiercest competitors that Swansea City will face off against this season are Bristol City and Wrexham.
Whilst Swansea City fans have suggested that a rivalry with Wrexham does not exist, the club may have got the memo with their recent social media content.
It is safe to say that Swans fans were rather confused by the dig towards Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham, and even Cardiff City supporters couldn’t believe what they were saying.
It shows that Wrexham will truly be a team that many clubs will single out as a game to look forward to. The upwards trajectory and publicity around the club have made them the ones to watch, even though a ball is yet to be kicked.
